Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me create a classroom library that neurodivergent students at my school can see themselves in.

Using the rug, lamp, and large selection of books, I hope to create a nook in our special education office where students can find safety, comfort, and representation.

This will be a place where students can see themselves and their experiences depicted in picture books. It will also be a place where they can relax and take a break while still learning. This space will help my students learn more about their own disabilities, the disabilities of others, and how to be proud of their differences. To make that possible, I'm hoping you can chip in to help buy the supplies we need in order to help.
