Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my school, many of the students I work with have many challenges when they come to school. This includes a lack of resources, no previous educational experiences, and learning disabilities. The students are excited to learn but need additional tools to engage them and help them use tools that may be easy for some typically developed children. This includes having various types of writing tools to help with fine motor development, adapted books created by the teacher with the use of Velcro, alphabet tubs that aid in their understanding of the alphabet, and floor seats that can help them focus. With these resources, my students will not only be engaged but also excited to learn at school.
