This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class consists of 9 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders who all have special needs. They would all be beyond grateful for your donation. With that being said, in order to meet all of my students at their level, I need to help them address their sensory needs. Without doing so, my students will be unsuccessful in reaching their goals. All of these items are used to help students learn how to self-regulate their sensory needs. When their needs are met, they are then able to focus on academic work! These items help regulate their nervous system using vibrations or movement. The cuddle box helps them use contained items to work on their sensory needs and the vinyl seats help give movement. The emotional set helps students process their emotions. The maze box helps bring movement to their senses. Thank you.
