Special Education provides tailored educational services to students to support their needs. The services and supports one child receives may be very different from what another child receives. It’s all about individualization. What’s important is giving children the resources they need to make progress in school. Teaching Special Education is So Rewarding! Learning from our students is one of our favorite parts of teaching. There is nothing better than helping a student reach their potential. Being able to lay a foundation in a figurative sense means we get to mentor students. We work hard as a collaborative department to establish rapport and build trust with students.
That's why we are currently seeking items for our wonderful students to enhance their learning capabilities and learning skills.
Please help us make our classroom have supplies readily available for each child! Music, coloring, visual tools, manipulatives, and others would greatly enhance our student's learning opportunities.
Right now with Covid things are very tight and very hard to find such as; tissues, sanitizer, and Lysol wipes. These items would greatly enhance our classroom to be a safer environment from illnesses and germs so that our students can have a safer learning experience.
Covid-19 has greatly impacted our students. We have gotten several more students who qualify for special education services due to being behind in their general education classroom. With this influx causes Special Education to require more tools and manipulatives to teach our students
Having more resources in the classroom, such as games, certain manipulatives places to help with sight words for reading, and to generally make learning fun while helping them would help them greatly.
Being able to clean our classroom to make students feel safe is also something we are concerned about and requesting cleaning supplies as well.
