My Students

My students from New York are eager to learn, energetic, thoughtful, and creative. They are amazing! Our class is a self contained special education class. Many of the children have various interests and learning styles. They are working past their learning disabilities and developmental delays. They have a desire to be the best they can and they need to be able to read daily and experience the world through books.

My students have difficulty practicing skills because they lack resources at home and school.

My Project

My classroom library does not have enough books on their level. My students will be able to access digital books during small group reading time. They will be able to choose books on their level and enjoy independent reading time. The chrome books can also help them access websites that will help them academically.

They are below grade level struggling readers and will learn that books/reading can be fun and enjoyable.

This project will help them enrich their reading experiences. My students are eager to use technology to enhance their learning. We would be so grateful for your assistance in making this possible for our classroom.
