My Project

During the pandemic, many students chose to go online for their learning. Quite frankly, many chose not to do school at all. This was the case for many of our students at our Title 1 school. As families and students returned to regular in person learning, we received more families that spoke a different language. There are over 60 different languages spoken in our high school which makes communicating with all of the students and families difficult for counselors. It creates barriers between the school, family, and their student's success. As counselors, we are often the first face they see in the school. Having quick access and use of the Pocketalk Translator, will help remove that barrier and allow us to create a positive relationship with the family and student.
