Sparkle Squad: Fine Motor Learning

Help me give my students fine motor puzzles that will allow them to work on fine motor skills while practicing letters, numbers, and colors.

My Project

I teach in a mixed abilities classroom with 30 students with special needs. The variety of conditions my students have creates a wide range of physical and academic abilities. Many of my students struggle with fine motor skills and have difficulty holding a pencil or crayon. It is important that we work on these skills in addition to our academics. The puzzles on this list will require the students to hold a magnetic stylus to guide magnetized pieces to their correct positions within the puzzle. The puzzles will provide opportunities for students to work on learning their alphabet, identifying colors, and number cardinality.
