My Project

Young learners need to explore to learn. The classroom items I am requesting will provide them with engaging learning opportunities to learn through play, calming techniques, and building small motor skills.

Students need to build small and fine motor skills which often can be built by using creative classroom manipulatives.

By building fine motor skills, students build the capacity to write, dress themselves, and grasp objects which are necessities for everyday life and school. For young people, sensory learning is a key component of school. When students participate in activities that use the senses, they develop neural pathways to support brain development. Engaging the senses can make lessons more meaningful and memorable.

Adding translucent blocks to the light table, open- ended building materials, and wooden block scales offer a variety of ways to spark inquiry in our classroom.

I appreciate the opportunity to be considered for building a classroom that is fun engaging and supports young learners curiosity and wonder in a positive way.
