Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are enthusiastic, curious, and full of creativity waiting to be unlocked. They are 1st and 2nd graders who thrive on hands-on, imaginative activities, and I want to nurture their self-expression through our Junk Journaling Club. With this project, I aim to provide them with essential supplies to turn their everyday observations into beautiful, personal creations.

Junk journaling goes beyond art—it develops fine motor skills, encourages storytelling, and gives students a safe space to express their feelings and ideas.

The art supplies I’m requesting, such as construction paper, Astrobright paper, crayons, markers, and textured paper will ensure that each child has access to the tools they need to participate fully and confidently. From colorful paper to stickers and stamps, every item will spark joy and creativity.

My goal is to create an inclusive environment where my students can explore their artistic side while building confidence and independence. What makes these young learners special is their eagerness to learn and their boundless imaginations. Your support will help fuel their creativity and inspire a lifelong love for self-expression and artistic exploration. Together, we can empower them to discover the joy of creating something uniquely their own.
