Spanish Magazines for Spanish Readers

My students need Scholastics Let's Find Out Spanish Magazines in order to read about the real world and have access to digital editions, videos and printable in Spanish.

My Students

The students I teach are from a Latino community in the neighborhood of Belmont Cragin in the northwest side of the city of Chicago.

My students are the most energetic, bright, and warmhearted bilingual first graders around!

All of my students are English Language Learners whose first language is Spanish. My students all come from Spanish speaking homes and are capable of using their two languages either at home or at school.

I value my students linguistic creativity by building on their use of the two languages everyday! My bilingual students are super proud to know both English and Spanish.

My Project

My bilingual students love reading about the real world and current events! My students will use the Scholastics Let's Find Out magazines to enhance their content knowledge and build on their current background knowledge. We will use the interactive videos and online editions during our whole group time.

With your generous donation my students will have access to Spanish reading materials that will help them develop their reading skills while reading about exciting nonfiction topics!

Students will be engaged and excited to read with the colorful photos and simple articles in each issue. These magazines reinforce the classroom curriculum and meet our state standards. We will use Scholastic's Let's Find Out magazines to build a foundation for developing critical language in both Spanish and English! Please help us get our tiny little hands on these beneficial reading materials!
