Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students need to feel incredible about their Spanish lang. skills. Reading in Spanish, my students will improve their reading Spanish skills, and they will be able to expand their vocabulary and also will help them to internalize the language more deeply. Every class we start w/ the word of the day

In my beautiful school, you will see students from everywhere in the world.

It is very diverse, and it also has amazing teachers. All teacher are very nice and want to help all the students to succeed. Our students love performance art and they enjoy their classes and they like sports. My main goal is to keep their motivation towards the learning of a new language. My students come from very low income families. Therefore, they need to have access to printer, provide books, supplies, tables, etc. so they can see and work with printed materials. My students need materials to have the opportunity to learn through hands on activities, what they love to do. My students like to be very competitive, so I need to make sure every student has the skills necessary to compete globally.

My Project

Spanish is everywhere, whether your are at the local grocery store or highly populated city. Therefore, my students need to learn the language. My students will use response cards, for example, while reading a book together as a class, I will pause and ask students what they think the character is feeling right now. Then the students would be able to select happy/mad/sad from the stack of cards. Students will be acquiring skills that they can successfully complete at the end of the year. Reading can help students deal with problems in their personal life. By reading, students can learn ethic from literature/stories. Also, it can give students insight into other cultures and other human suffering. Students will be able to better understand someone else background. Students will be able to communicate verbally in Spanish by sharing and expressing their thoughts, ideas and feelings.

My classroom will be a more pleasant place to be and, a more effective, motivating place to learn.

All these amazing and meaningful materials can have positive results on the achievements of students. By displaying bright educated decorations can make the classroom more homey, and students can easily learn from this posters/cards/games/books. All my students comes from a low income families, most of the time they lack of supplies, so students have a very difficult time succeeding, we can help them
