Welcome to Savannah School District in a small town in Missouri. Like all students, this year has been out of the ordinary. With all the changes and rules our students have not complained and have been very grateful for the norm of this year. Being in the classroom and connecting with friends has made students happy to be back. Students never complain when we remind them to fix their masks, no they don't like them and prefer life without them, but they handle it the best they can. I am so proud of how well they have evolved during this time, better than many adults.
My Project
We have traveled outside of earth to learn more about the world and space around us. As we explore the vast universe and explore the ISS, students wish to be more a part of the experiment but a field trip during Covid is not an option. I'd love for them to have something they can experience for the joy of their learning. Who doesn't remember going to the museum and someone buying space ice cream and getting to try it? Just a fun way to bring joy into learning when students have had to change and grow so much this year.
