Help Mrs. Hardwick-Ivey

I teach juniors and seniors at a careers-centered public school. The state organization of school librarians recently released the list of the twenty best young adult novels. Unfortunately, my school library does not have most of the books; my librarian has worked with me to get neighboring schools to loan us the books, but some of them refused. Earlier this week, I went to the bookstore and bought two of the books myself, but I cannot afford to do that for all of the books. I would like one copy of each of the twenty books on the list. These books will help my students meet their goal of reading twenty-five books this year. Because these books are considered high-interest novels, they will also help my students gain an appreciation of reading, which is my main goal. Your help will ensure that my students are reading the best contemporary young adult novels available. Ultimately, my students will be able to transfer the skills they learn from these books onto more challenging texts that they have selected themselves or have been assigned.
