Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students face huge challenges. Over 90% of our South. Bronx students get government support. Yet, our students still thrive here! They are predominately from low-income households and most receive help from the government. We are in a high crime area.

Still, our students are dedicated, show up, and are ready to learn.

We far exceed the city's graduation rate! This is how much grit and desire our students have to be the best they can be. They just need support.

My Project

Whether we stay virtual or go back to Hybrid, students need to move and workout to help there brain and over all well being. With workout balls, we can virtually do google meets and go over movement and the brain research of why it is so important to move.

We will meet daily and do a 15 minute workout to get the blood moving and over brain ready to start the day.

By doing this workout daily with fitness balls and juggling scarves students will develop great habits they can do for there entire life and see the importance of movement!
