My Students

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist working with special needs students in diverse school. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and have a variety of special needs. They have disabilities ranging from developmental delays, to autism, to intellectual disabilities. All of my students have goals in many different areas and at many different levels.

My students are working to build skills in language, functional communication, speech sound production, and fluency.

Working with such a diverse population I need to have many different options to help them all stay engaged and make great gains.

My Project

These materials will help my students of all different ages and abilities be able to access new and engaging materials during speech therapy sessions and to help them practice learning all of their speech sounds on their own.

Allowing them the opportunities to practice their learned skills at all different times throughout the day and with multiple partners will help with generalization of their skills into all settings, which is always the most difficult part.

Giving them these new resources will help them to stay engaged and help them to learn with the best available products. This will help them in virtual speech therapy, in their own homes, as well as be used once back in school!
