My Project
My students are honor students in grades 9 through 12 who are excited about learning math and particularly enjoy a high energy, engaged classroom. They are absolute nerds from over 90 middle schools throughout the city. They all come together to learn in a fast-paced and rigorous community dealing with difficult and challenging curriculum. It can be a struggle for many, but watching them succeed is incredible.
What is remarkable is how truly diverse they are with 63% being students of color.
My school is probably one of the most diverse schools in the state.
This project will give us soundproof wall panels that will help ensure we can continue our engaging lessons without distracting those around. Additionally, it will create an insulated environment that we can use when we need to stay focused and on task without being interfered with by outside noises. With these new panels, we'll have everything we need to learn in an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment.
