My Project

Empower students to take ownership of their learning and leadership skills with the Sound Leadership method book, designed specifically for band, choir, and orchestra students. This resource fosters an engaging and collaborative experience between student leaders and program directors, encouraging self-discovery, goal setting, and clear role definition. Key topics covered include: personal leadership inventory, task assessment and job creation, situational discussion starters, leadership assessments, performance reviews, and goal-setting activities.

I plan to implement this with our Tri-M Music Honor Society students to help them uncover their personal leadership styles and grow as leaders.

For nearly a decade, Scott Lang has been inspiring and educating students and adults nationwide through his workshops and keynote presentations. A nationally recognized leadership expert, Scott has worked with some of America's top music ensembles, conducting over 100 workshops each year. By using this book, students will engage in activities like personal leadership inventories, team assessments, task creation, situational discussions, and goal setting, all culminating in a leadership contract and performance review.
