My Project

Mental health has become such an important topic in our society, for adults and kids alike. I want to help guide my students in a form of relaxation/meditation to assist in lowering their anxiety levels and to help them become more mindful overall. Many of my students have the mental stress load of an adult - working after school, picking up siblings, doing the family grocery shopping, etc. This will be a new way for them to regain some inner peace and get recentered.

I would like to empower my students to be both the givers and receivers of sound therapy.

They will learn how to play the quartz bowls according to Tibetan tradition to help give others a sense of calm. When it is their turn to meditate and not play, they can enjoy the relaxing sound waves and let go of some of their troubles, even if just for a few minutes a day.
