My Students

My students are so eager to care for animals, the environment, and each other. In order to give them a greater appreciation for the world around them, I want to help them to study all of the amazing habitats found in our world!

My kids are AWESOME!

I am convinced that there are none like them in all of the United States. They are all "overcomers." They face daily struggles at home, yet come to school eager to learn and help one another. While our school faces many economic hardships, we push our students to be better and better each day. We are a public, Title I school in South Carolina, yet we do not use that as an excuse, but a spring board to encourage and teach our kids even better! Our population is about 70% free and reduced lunch, but that has not damaged their ability to learn and excel in education.

My Project

I am writing to ask for a class set of the book, "ABC's of Habitats," and a All About Habitats board game from Lakeshore Learning. These materials will help me to teach my students about the many amazing places there are in this great big world. Many of them will never see a desert, jungle, or the Arctic, but through the funding of this project I will be able to take them there in their imaginations. Exposing my students to the various habitats of the world will further fuel their curiosity and desire to help the world around them. They are so "green" already, and I hope to continue to grow their love of the world through our study of habitats.

The most amazing part of this project is that it will not stop reaching students at the end of this school year.

The materials I am requesting will be used year after year to foster a love of animals, habitats, and the environment for years to come. What may seem like just a small donation to you, will be a crucial part in educating my students as long as I am an educator. Please become a donor to my awesome students today!
