SOS! Creating a Clean, Organized and Accessible Classroom
Help me give my students basic supplies to make their learning accessible and clean with supplies such as sticky notes, markers, magnets, highlighters, binder clips, whiteboard stickers, paperclips, staples, Lysol wipes, tissues, and hand sanitizer.

At our school 95 percent of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our students live in a unique part of town which is isolated from resources, parks, and after school activities. Many of our parents use public transportation, which makes access to outside resources challenging for them, such as literacy opportunities.
The particular students who will benefit from this project all qualify for special education services and have mild to moderate disabilities.
My students are really hard workers who put 100 percent towards their learning every day, even though learning is really challenging for them. They are resilient and inspiring.
My Project
In our Special Education Classroom, it is important for students to have materials such as highlighters, sticky notes, markers and other tools to color-code and organize their learning to make learning accessible to them. This project will give students re-fills on these needed supplies so they can continue to get the most out of their learning. In-addition, it will continue to support them in practicing different strategies and organizational skills to use in the future.
My students have shown so much leadership and potential this year, and these basic supplies will give them more opportunities to show their full potential.
The sticky notes, highlighters, magnets, markers, glue, and whiteboard stickers will allow students to collaborate to make their writing and reading projects stronger. They will be able to share their ideas within their groups and students will be able to give them in the moment written feedback to strengthen their independant and group projects. The magnetic supplies will allow them to create visuals on their magnetic whiteboards to express their ideas and / or learning on a topic.
With this type of learning comes messes, which is why hand sanitizer, tissues, and Lysol wipes are included. These materials will allow students to show independence and responsibility for keeping their learning environment clean.
