This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with a variety of students with elevated sensory needs as well as sensory sensitivity making it difficult to relax and calm when needed. The ability to use different seating to meet their needs provides a subtle and yet powerful tool for enhancing emotion regulation. During groups and social emotional learning discussions, they will have the ability to explore and reflect on how these seating options affect them. Comfort is key and something we can provide our students to make them more available for learning. Please help me provide them this tool.
