My Project

I teach in an ASD NEST kindergarten classroom. Some of our students have sensory needs that needs to be soothed so that they can be the best learners they can be in the classroom. The weighted animals will help ground students, and help them to focus while sitting on the rug for a lesson, the noise cancelling earphones will help students who sometimes get scared or distracted by louder noises, such as our bells in our schools. We will be also using some of the other materials to make projects, such as make sensory bottles to help calm our nerves.
