Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am lucky enough to work in a self contained InD unit. My students mainly come from group homes or single parent families and their ages range between 14 to 22. In our program we teach the regular academics but also focus on taking care of our minds and bodies. We have recently started practicing yoga weekly to add to our discussions on how important it is to exercise and think positively.

We would love to create a space in our room that includes a place to have quiet time and clear our minds of negative energy.

I am requesting items that would bring relaxing scents as well as a comfy place to center ourselves with our class emotional support dog Charlie.
