Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an enthusiastic, imaginative group of second graders. They are living in an inner-city community. Part of the time they will be learning remotely. It has been an upsetting and confusing year for these little people.

Many are living in shelters.

Some are English Language Learners and others have an Individualized Educational Plans. Most face challenges both inside and outside of school on a daily basis. Despite these challenges, they love learning. They work hard every day in school and at home. They go to school and also learn from home remotely. They have goals and are working hard to achieve them.

My Project

What a difference these boards will make in helping students who are learning remotely to have their own space to focus on their classwork.

Remote learning is difficult.

Having these privacy boards to carve out their own space for learning will make such a difference.

Students need to know that whether in school or learning remotely they are valued. This boards will let them know that we, their teachers, understand the many struggles inherent in learning from home and that we want to help them in all ways that we can.
