My Students
My fifth grade students are terrific boys and girls. They are eager to learn new things everyday. They are respectful and polite and truly enjoy reading.
My fifth graders come from diverse backgrounds and share their cultures with each other.
During ELA time, my students like to read independently as well as in partnerships. They work together beautifully and help each other when necessary. As their teacher, I am proud to see how much they look forward to reading time everyday!
My Project
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you'll go." — Dr. Seuss
My students love to read during our “Book Clubs”.
They love to gather together on the carpet to read and discuss their books together. They love to recommend their favorite books to their peers. Our next unit is an author study so we need some additional books for my students to read in their groups.
The titles that we have selected are only a few that they enjoy reading and we will continue to add more to our library this year.
More than half of students from low‑income households
