My Project

Our middle school English Language Arts classes have high reading expectations for our students. They have a goal to finish 30 books by the end of the school year! We have well-stocked high-interest classroom libraries for them to browse, and we talk about our books daily. The students this year have a remarkable love of reading. We've almost met our class reading goals in 3 classes!

That said, many students still need a little extra motivation, which is why I've created this project.

Students earn a small prize after the 5th, 10th, 20th, and 30th book they finish. These prizes celebrate the milestones along the way to their final reading goal.
