Tidal Force is a FIRST Robotics Competition club and 501(c)3 non-profit organization located at our high school in New Hampshire. We strive to give our students STEM experiences, as well as the opportunity to learn and develop professional skills. Our organization is student-run, with mentors supporting the team in both technical and leadership aspects.
Tidal Force also gives students experiences beyond technical skills, such as business and human resources management, social media and outreach, strategy, collaboration, and finally media production.
My Project
First Robotics Competition provides students with a scholarship to the CAD program Solidworks, an optimal design platform for prototyping and designing robot parts for use in FRC games. This system is superior to those supported online and would assist greatly in the design process. The stress-analysis feature that Solidworks contains allows possible strain on parts to be interpreted, which can foresee and prevent breakdowns.
These computers will be stored within the build-space of the school and will be utilized solely for CAD purposes.
All accounts will be administered by the team and utilized appropriately. Access will be limited to members of the team, primarily those on the CAD subteam.
