My Students

My students are a great group of students who are filled with a lot of energy. My students are a mixture of Brooklyn natives and recent immigrants to the country. While my students come from diverse backgrounds there are many commonalities that bring them together.

My Project

I would love to help support some amazing kids at my school. As a staff we have been noticing that there are a few students who really could use a new pair of shoes!

A new pair of shoes may seem like a simple gesture but a new pair of shoes can really support a students sense of self worth, being able to fit in with their peers as well as allowing them to comfortably walk to school daily in NYC!

We have a food pantry at our school in which I am able to secure food donations and many clothing donations but shoes are often to come by in good condition. These shoes would be used to help support my students who are often beneficiaries of the food pantry. The shoes are a simple gesture of, we see you, we support you and we love you.
