My Project

Our students are creative, curious, and love hands-on learning through discovery! We just had a wonderful field trip to the Waiahole Nursery and Garden and it has inspired our grade level to create team solar hydroponics systems and class aquaponics systems to propagate ti leaf, hibiscus plants, Native Hawaiian plants, and much more to give back to our community!

The small mini submersible pumps and solar panels will be used to study renewable energy and its impact through a hydroponics engineering design challenge.

Our class engineering design challenge is to create an aquaponics system with the larger submersible pumps and the aquariums for both classes in our grade level. The rock wool and net pots will help students to propagate the plants grown within both systems.

We are so excited to see what designs our engineers will come up with! Thank you in advance for supporting our engineering endeavors! We appreciate you! MAHALO!
