Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All students, no matter what age, love to play games! I would like to take the traditional style of "morning work" and turn it into "Soft Starts". Soft starts will help build community by allowing students to work together in small groups with things that they like to do and allowing time for collaboration and discussion about things that they may have in common. I would like to add to our growing soft start center by adding more more hands-on materials such as magnetic blocks, Puzzle Bricks, STEM building Kit, Coding Robot and a sensory bin. The variety of bins will meet the needs of all my learners. Soft Starts will allow students to work together building relationships with their peers in a different ways it will also foster creativity and give students something to look forward to each morning!
