My Students

Our preschool students are three and four years old. Some of them have developmental delays and/or autism and some of them are typically developing three and four year olds. They keep us on our toes at all times!

My students love to read and love to learn!

For many of our students, our preschool classroom is the first classroom experience they have had. Not only are they learning academic skills, they are also learning to form social relationships and how to be life-long learners. I love watching them learn and grow so much throughout the school year!

My Project

This school year is a year like no other! New procedures, protocols, and safety measures have made for some obstacles that we are trying to overcome in the classroom. One of those obstacles is the safe and comfortable places for students to sit during small group instruction and small group center play. Since returning to school face-to-face, our classroom rug has been removed as it is unable to be cleaned as needed each day. Therefore students are being asked to stay in their seats or to sit on the tile floor (socially distanced) for the majority of the day. Having these floor cushions as a resource for our students will allow them to have a comfortable, designated space to work in small groups on the floor (rather than just on the cold, hard tile). These cushions are durable, easy to clean, and comfortable for our little learners and I just know they will love them!
