My Project

I am a total advocate for play-based learning! Play-based learning helps engage elementary students in their education and has cognitive, physical, social, and emotional benefits. I have received messages from parents about how their student goes home and raves about the STEM bins that we already have in the classroom. With this project, I would like to update some of the current morning bins we have and love, as well as, give my students some new things to play and build with.

When we give students the opportunity and the space to be creative, they surprise us every time and over the past year because of these bins, I have seen so much creativity and expression from my students just from toys, magnets, and blocks.

Amazingly, the STEM bins cultivate a sense of community with my students. They are coming to school in the morning looking forward to playing with their classmates. In this project, you will see that I am asking for a marble run set so that students can set up a marble track and race marbles. I am asking for new blocks and bricks for building, and new storage bins for existing STEM bins and new ones.
