This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The creation and implementation of a wellness/yoga class for my students will be a great support. By integrating yoga and mindfulness into their routine, you will help me provide them with essential tools for self-regulation and resilience. My goal is to help students learn techniques to manage their emotions, foster skills to cope with challenges and bounce back from setbacks. In addition to creating a calmer mindset that enhances focus and learning. My students come from low-socio economic backgrounds and have been heavily impacted by trauma, grief and loss. With your contribution of yoga mats, you will also be contributing to the emotional learning of future effective members of our society. Namaste (The light in me, sees the light in you)
