My Students

My students are 7 and 8 years old. We are the overflow class in second grade, meaning we are always ready to welcome new friends. My students come from diverse places and backgrounds. Since August they have all made amazing progress in their learning and are very proud of themselves.

My students are particularly interested in history and love referring to and adding to our class timeline which currently goes from around 1400 to 2018.

My students are curious and enthusiastic learners and we always take the time to research and investigate their questions.

My Project

I am looking to purchase some economics books, books about current important figures, the "Who was" series and Time Magazine for kids. My students love the Who was series and have devoured any book from that series they come across. I know they will be particularly excited to read an authentic magazine for kids, Time Magazine for Kids.

These materials will update my classroom library and be used in our various social studies units.

These materials will excite and inspire my curious learners. Additionally, I will be able to share the books with the five other second grade classes, so these books will impact around 120 students.
