My Project

A large population of my students are diagnosed with Autism. The teachers, counselors, speech, OT, school psychologist and assistant principal try to be creative with our lessons with these students. Social stories are a fun and visual way of learning. When we are explaining something to our autistic students, we like to have visuals and make it interactive so they fully understand the concept. With the teachers pay teachers gift cards, this will allow me to purchase many different types of social stories such as healthy boundaries, appropriate behaviors, appropriate language, feelings and emotions, worried, anger management, and much more. All of this falls under social emotional learning that we are trying to rebuild with the students.
