My Students

My students are four and five years old. They come from diverse backgrounds and are very eager to learn. I am so excited to meet my students this year. Starting the school year virtually will have its challenges especially for our little ones. I believe with your assistance our students will rise to the challenge.

Our preschoolers are curious, fun and very creative, they are like little sponges.

I can't wait to watch them grow and develop this school year.

Throughout the school day students have opportunities to develop social-emotional skills by engaging in dramatic play, sing songs, and participating in read-aloud stories.

My Project

The materials chosen will help the students develop social skills such as self regulation, getting along with others, and using their words to express themselves. Each child will be given a social play kit.

Students will engage in roll play activities to learn skills such as turn taking, expressing their feeling appropriately and calming down.

The multicultural puppets will also be used to teach and reinforce positive social interactions through role play activities, music and songs.

We will use the stuffed animals as support or comfort tools for students during social skills and making healthy choices lessons.

The books will be used during read-aloud time to help students develop a positive self images and a sense of community.
