My Project

Hi all, thank you for taking the time and interest in finding out more about my project. This project started after a visible need showed for my students, so I dove in to find the best way I could think of to support students in a way that makes sense to them!

The group of students I teach are deaf or hard of hearing and rely on the use of American Sign Language, and some students have additional needs that add to the complexity of their needs, especially relating to social-emotional needs.

My wonderful group of students range between kindergarten and 5th grade and have shown a need to better understand how to handle social situations and better understand how to resolve conflicts with peers.

With these books and supporting curriculum I will be able to use not only real-life situations to talk and work through with my students but also use a fun and engaging book series to help my students become Social Ninjas in any situation they face! Thank you for your time and consideration!
