My Project

Using games and paper products is an excellent way to improve students' social communication skills. There is so much more learning that occurs over and above the playing of the game or the drawing activity. There is team building, turn-taking as well as negotiations and expressing feelings. There is also play and interactions that don't occur when the student is on a screen. By having a variety of games and activity products it allows flexibility as well as choices to students that they may not have in their everyday lives. This is also a skill that many students haven't had the opportunity to develop. By providing these activities, students will be allowed to develop their social skills and game-playing abilities and thus increase their social language learning.
