My Students

The entire student body and staff at our school are welcome to use the Wellness Center as needed to help with emotional regulation. Some days we just need a quick 10 min break to calm our nerves, sadness, or frustrations. Students will receive the support, and tools to help move that process along and get back to class and ready to learn. Teachers and staff at our school also receive help with Social Emotional Wellness in their lives.

My Project

For students to have good foundations in social emotional health we have to set good examples as adults in their lives. Self-regulation must be modeled for them so our adults need and deserve to have support in their lives as well.

Materials purchased will be used to support the social and emotional wellness of students, teachers and staff at Monte Vista Elementary School in South Jordan Utah.

These items will be reminders and prompts to go along with lessons on how to care for yourself in stressful times.

Yoga seats will be used by teachers, aides, and students when their activities require long periods of floor time. Fidgets and small toys will be used for classroom lessons as well as in the Wellness Center. Items purchased are part of a comprehensive wellness plan for all members of the Monte Vista Family.
