My Project

Our school is an inclusive, 3K-5th learning community striving to represent the beautifully diverse neighborhood of Clinton Hill. In order to make sure we are addressing all the needs of our students, we are focusing in on their social emotional wellness. Our school has been working on this through morning meetings and Responsive Classroom's Fly Five Curriculum but now we hope to build out the physical spaces of our classrooms to create the best environment for our kids.

We have chosen a number of items that will help create calm, supportive, and restorative classrooms.

We know that children need help navigating the stressors of their world and we, as teachers and staff, want to make sure they have the best resources at their disposal to do so. From alternative lighting and seating to books that teach about what a feeling is, these tools will be shared throughout the school to help all students. With your help, our job of helping students feel safe and seen at school will be that much easier. Thank you for considering supporting our school!
