My Project

First grade is such a magical time. Students learn so much during the school year. Academically, students go from counting to adding double-digit numbers, recalling letter sounds to reading, and writing their names to writing books! However, we cannot forget how much a first grader grows socially and emotionally. They learn to share, take turns, and make friends.

Your donations will help provide important fidgets and sensory toys for a first-grade ENL class in a growing public school in Queens.

These items will help them develop coping mechanisms and problem-solving skills during frustrating times in the classroom. This project is especially important for my students who are learning English, as they do not always have the language to express themselves.

My students and I greatly appreciate the support. I know these items will go to great use for many years to come.
