My Project

My project will support students' with disabilities who have unique learning and social emotional needs. Many of my students struggle with mental health challenges that impede their learning in addition to their disabilities. Therefore, I will use these materials within my counseling sessions to help teach positive coping and social skills, how to self-regulate their emotions, build resiliency and strengthen self-esteem that will not only support their mental health but their learning. Additionally, some of the materials I have selected will be given to the students directly to use within the classroom to help them stay engaged and focused.
