Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students represent a wide variety of socioeconomic levels, learning styles, and cultural backgrounds. Our Title I school serves 370 students, 100% of whom come from low-income families. Many of my students lack a strong support system at home. Therefore, they need all resources they can get when they are in school.

As a Professional School Counselor, I hold individual, classroom guidance, and small group sessions.

Examples of issues students have are family problems, grades, coping with death of love ones, abandonment, bullying, anxiety, social issues, behavior and anger management.

It is my desire to provide a small group rotation using Amazon Tablets to access social and emotional programs online for additional support.
