Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am seeking support to build the resources of our counseling team to meet the social emotional needs of our students. The items requested will be utilized to provide our students with therapeutic experiences through art. Many of our students are artistic and creative and utilize art as an outlet and means of expression. The rug and posters will help to create a warm and inviting environment in the counseling space and the games, fidgets, and sand garden will help provide a means for them to regulate themselves when navigating difficult emotions.

We aim to provide a nurturing environment for all our students to help them navigate difficult times and emotions and develop healthy coping skills when faced with challenges.

Social emotional well-being is critical to their personal and academic development and we seek to support our students in a holistic manner.
