My Project
Social-emotional learning is the process of developing the self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills that are vital for school, work, and life success. People with strong social-emotional skills are better able to cope with everyday challenges and benefit academically, professionally, and socially.
Having social-emotional learning materials for our school library would greatly benefit students and staff alike. I would have access to these books to share with students during their library classes and students and teachers could check them out as well. Students relate to these picture books with characters facing the same daily struggles and challenges that they do and in the process gain strategies and skills to use in their own lives.
