Help me give my students books, puzzles, and the tools that they need to support their social emotional needs. I have carefully chosen a variety of materials to supplement the materials I already have.
This project will assist in teaching my student social emotional skills. I have listed a variety journals, stress necklaces, puzzles, and books that will help my students learn about autism, apologizing, feelings, perspective taking, social dilemmas, and bullying. I have found throughout my years as a counselor that children enjoy the use of literature. I use it as a means to help students understand how we are each unique and to celebrate the differences of others.
Since the pandemic, our children's mental health needs have come to the forefront of educators and are seen as equally important as academics.
