This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These specific items will make a difference in my students' learning because the Kimochis tools, with their different emotional faces, can help students with disabilities recognize their feelings and navigate social situations, improving their overall learning experience.

My goal for this project is to improve social-emotional learning for my students.

My students are special because they possess unique strengths and incredible perseverance, bringing valuable perspectives to enrich my classroom environment. At our school in the Bronx, we foster an equitable educational experience and environment for all students taking into account their diverse needs, interests, abilities, and access. We promote positive self-awareness and provide social-emotional support among students to develop academic, communication, and life skills to maximize individual student growth and independence.
