This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Kindergarten can be so challenging for new students and even students who’ve already been to school before as there’s a big shift from spending most of their time learning through play to learning how to read and write. This new shift can bring many feelings; these books about feelings will help my students learn more about their emotions and be able to more easily navigate Kindergarten. The chairs will give them a nice comfy spot for our peace corner/library to help them process their feelings and also to read books. The toys will help in making the transition into Kindergarten easier as they can continue learning through play.
