This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are enthusiastic learners and enjoy coming to school. Since this is their first learning experience in a classroom setting, most students need help developing social and emotional skills that will help them become successful learners. As their teacher, it is my responsibility to guide and help my students learn ways to control their emotions, impulses and create healthy relationships with others.

These materials such as the social emotional learning (SEL) stories, SEL picture cards and calming materials will help my students have a deeper understanding of how to:

build their confidence, identify and regulate their emotional responsiveness, enhance problem solving skills and equip them with necessary tools and skills to become successful learners.

These social-emotional and growth mindset items will help facilitate the emotional well-being of my students and will be used throughout the day especially during our daily dedicated social emotional learning block!
