Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are still coping with the impact the pandemic has had on their personal and academic life. When we switched to remote learning a few years ago, I saw the need for social emotional learning. This prompted me to create the Blooming Minds club at my school.

Here we help students explore their feelings, give them the tools they need to cope with tough situations and provide a safe space.

The resources needed would aide in helping students express themselves through artwork, journaling, mindfulness and restorative circle work. Such items include canvas tote bags (where students can draw their own creations), art supplies, games, DIY kits and much more.
